This project emerged from a design competition held in Milan, specifically for Garibaldi train station. The mi.bin waste bins were crafted with a focus on key specifications: security, durability, weather resistance, maintenance, and cost-effectiveness.
Embodying the principle of "form follows function," mi.bin features diverse lid styles, color coding, and basic symbols representing different recycling options. The distinct openings of the bins serve as visual cues, reinforcing proper waste disposal practices and encouraging users to correctly discard litter into the appropriate bin.
